SEARCY, Ark.—The Christian Brothers University Bucs finished second in the Ted Lloyd Bison Stampede Saturday morning in Searcy, Ark., while the Lady Bucs finished fifth.
Brett McAdams (Cleveland, Ohio/Brecksville-Broadview HS) paced the Bucs with a fifth-place finish in 27:10 on the 8k course.
Nate Spears (Dayton, Ohio/Beavercreek HS) was ninth in 27:29, followed by
Max Group (Dayton, Ohio/Beavercreek HS) in 13th place in 28:05.
Rex Hammonds (Memphis, Tenn./Central HS) finished 18th in 28:31, and
Jimmy Whitaker (Bartlett, Tenn./Bolton HS) completed the scoring with a 26th-place finish in 29:31.
As a team, the Bucs finished second with 61 points, just 22 behind Harding. The Bucs knocked off Memphis (72), Hendrix (92), Henderson State (119), University of the Ozarks (148), and Arkansas-Monticello (214).
Brittly Butler (Dyersburg, Tenn./Dyersburg HS) led the Lady Bucs with a 23rd-place finish on the 5k course, finishing in 22:53.
Porsha Chillis (Memphis, Tenn./East HS) finished 30th in 24:12, while
Danielle Hobbs (Cordova, Tenn./Cordova HS) was 35th in 24:56.
Jessica Beck (Lakeland, Tenn./Arlington HS) finished 37th in 25:10, and
Rachael Haag (Memphis, Tenn./St. Agnes Academy) wrapped up the CBU scoring with a 40th-place finish of 25:15.
