MEMPHIS—Christian Brothers University baseball coach Phil Goodwin has announced the signing of Aaron Short, from Chattanooga State Community College, to a National Letter of Intent to play for the Bucs next spring.
Short, a catcher who played at Cleveland HS, hit .283 with two homers and 27 RBI's as a sophomore at Chattanooga State, throwing out 45 percent of baserunners who tried to steal against him. Short is the Bucs' sixth signee, joining Humboldt pitcher Joey Blankenship, Fort Worth, Texas, pitcher David Marshall, Northeast Mississippi CC pitcher Lee Paine, Oxford, Miss., outfielder Matt Van Slyke, and Southaven shortstop Kyle Moore.
